They cashed 205 million euro on pines last year for speeding. Now, they want cameras to at traffic lights, to catch red light offenders. Not for the money, of course, but for the sake of safety. The annual number of mortal victims in French traffic has already gone down from 17.000 to 5.000. According to Le Monde, the French government thinks it's possible to reduce the amount of victims to 4.000 or even 3.500.
