French regions
France has got to many differences to describe at only one page. Click at the region you like on the map below for a short description and lots of links. Not all pages are in English yet, but we're working on more translations.
You might argue about the names of the regions. Where exactly does the Cote d'Azur stop en do the Alps begin? The area known by the name of the Dordogne river is larger then the department itself. I tried to use the names in the way they are commonly used in Holland. For those who are misguided this way, surrounding areas are summoned up. |
